i was wondering...could i use he standard A2 frontsight base/post with this free-float rail system?

@0122358 yes you could. the rail should be 9in for a middy, and 7in for a carbine gas.

What about headspace? does it need to be checked? is headspace an issue with AR's?

@flatjawspud No, you can headspace an AR, but its not needed. If you want to, it should headspace between 1.4646" to 1.4706"  but again, its only needed if your having problems

@turneynicholas there is no Oring for the gas tube. this is an AR, not airsoft.

@ManFlaver personally I love the MUR but not the VIS. The VIS rails are very large and bulky, and extra heavy compared to a one piece rail. But they are great quality, so it depends on what you need.
