Duluth, MN - "Blizzard" of '08

Winter's final angry goodbye. While the blizzard was certainly nothing to balk at, it was mostly wind. We got nowhere near the 12 - 20 inches that was forecast.

At least the lake surfers got some sweet waves out of the deal, and I got a little wet.

I wish I lived in Duluth! That would be so romantic... dancing with the love of my life in the cold dreary deadly blizard, running around in the splashing waves... oh yes... I live around Detroit Michigan, but sadly, no lake :( But it`s beautiful weather here in February, snow melting warmth... warmth....

Lets set the record straight: Yes, waves are possible on a big lake with lots of fetch; you can surf in MN; NY winter have more snow, but is tropical compared to N. MN winter; funny song, cool video

booties funny  Nothing talk to me when it's 40 below without windchill and you can throw boiling water in the air and it will freeze before it hits the ground.

this is nothing compared to NY in winter. i went out in a 3 mm with no booties, hoody, or gloves, and surfed all day. it was extremly cold and my feet almost got to the point where standing on the board became to painful
