(July 24)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] It was less than a month ago that American swimmer Jessica Hardy won the 100 meter breaststroke at the Olympic trials. She also qualified for the U-S team in the 50 meter freestyle, the four by 100 freestyle relay and the four by 100 medley relay. But her planned trip to Beijing could now be in jeopardy. A person familiar with drug test results tells the Associated Press that Hardy has tested positive for a banned substance, described as a stimulant. Hardy can now appeal to both the American Arbitration Association and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Typically, a first-time doping offense results in a two-year ban. Hardy's agent says she told him that she never did anything wrong and that she never cheated. yes it was.... i went to a swim camp in september 2010, and she told us that the "non performance enhancing" vitamin supplement she was taking caused it after 6 months of research. When she was escorted out of the training center the only one to talk to her was Dara Torres.

what upsets me is that their are athletes on the USA athletic team who are competing after serving a ban for drugs. Why even let them back into the sport, let someone new take their place. Marion jones classic example of how to spoil an olympics for another competitor who should have won gold

If she bowed out just to 'save the team', then take a lie detector test to vindicate yourself. I'm not buying it. She got caught. 'I have no clue how that got in my system'. We know at this level these athletes count every calorie. If its a bad supplement, then she should have the supplements tested and show the American people that she was really tricked. There's lots of things she can do to regain her credit.

MY DAD IS A TOXICOLOGIST AND HE CAN PROVE THAT SHE DIDNT DO IT! he had a case like that before with a football player. he just has to take some tests and see some stuff..... so if jessica hardy called him he could do it and then she could be back in the olympics. so if u know how i can contact her please tell me.
