what's rare about this clip is it includes 3 actors from Star Trek before they were on Star Trek. Glenn Corbett (Zefram Cochrane from "Metamorphosis"), Louise Sorel (Rayna K'pec from "Requiem for Methuselah", and of course William Shatner (Captain James T. Kirk).

Shatner is cool! Always has been, always will be...

Where are people seeing this show now? I haven't seen it since it was originally aired! I wish RTV Network would pick it up.
-
I find that hard to believe...but it must be true! You couldn't make up a name like that! :)

Actually there's another Route 66 episode that features four Trek actors - "And Make Thunder His Tribute" has Glenn Corbett, Lou Antonio, Alfred Ryder and Michael J. Pollard.
-
That is not as rare as you might think. There are some episodes of Kraft Suspense Theater that feature 4 Star Trek actors (plus the director).

Route 66 never ended with the Screen Gems dancing sticks, but the words, 'This has been a Screen Gems production, filmed at the Hollywood studios of Columbia Pictures'.
-
Oh yeah, I know what is missing from that episode, the closing credits followed by the dancing sticks logo at the end of the program.
Believe it or not, Shatner's character in this episode is named "Menemsha Faxon".

I like this episode a lot. Out of curiosity, can this episode have a beginning to end? (Original opening and closing credits included. I was wondering how Route 66 orginal closing credits from Season 4?

Interestingly enough, the closing credits for Season 4 all had the same music as the first three seasons - the show's theme tune - EXCEPT for this one episode. Instead, the sad and haunting score from this episode was played over the closing credits.
