  • absolutely brilliant and timeless piece... it is a great pleasure of us listening to such a music genious playing his own music...

  • It certainly seems to me that he really didn't mean to start the first variation on the reeds like that! It is a superb improvisation nonetheless, and BTW, I've always loved the Rheinberger. It is quite meaty, solid and dramatic. The whole Sonata #8 is one of his best IMHO.
