@gupsnot Not to mention the distortion in the plexiglass and the absence of wipers due to the curvature of the plexiglass. I think it would look better and be more efficient if it had a standard windshield.

@lst1195 Barris said that the bubble was slow to raise (not good for crime fighters in a hurry), wobbly, not very strong and the temperature in the cockpit was unbearable with that thing down for extended periods of time.

I wonder why Barris decided to remove that "retracting cockpit glass" ? it would have looked cool on the Batmobile!
