My Web Site: http://modelrr.oakviewresources.com/

Part 11: This is a multi-part blog where I make the scenery on the river scene on my model railroad. In this video I spackle over the seams with a mixture of elmers white glue and the the foam shavings I saved.

Music Notes: The music on this video was recorded using Sonar Home Studio Ver 6.0. The drums and keyboards were played on an M-Audio Keystation 61 ES and/or sequenced in the MIDI Editor. The bass used is an SX Fretless Jazz Clone Modded with Dimarzio J Pickups.

  • What percent of mixture do you use in the foam and glue??? ex. 50:50 or something??

  • @braedenb12 Yeah, I think it as about 50:50.

  • what kind of foam are you using and where can I find it home depot and lows has nothing

  • This is just florists foam. I got a block at Hobby Lobby. For my other mountains I use Owens Corning FOAMULAR® 250 Rigid Foam Insulation.

  • Get "how to" videos, sir! I would just suggest that you trim them down some. There is WAY too much footage here! Excellent work, tho, and thank you for your help!

  • it would have went a zillion times faster if you would have use your hands to spread the green stuff. i mix glue with fine sand and do the same thing

  • Great Thank you for showing me how to build things for my railway...............

  • My daddu tell me what are you doing?

  • I watched all 11 of these videos, VERY INFORMATIVE!! Im wondering though, based on when you were roughing out the foam it seemed like the glue would'nt shave away in the same manner the foam did. Did this seem to be the case when mixing the foam scraps with the glue to form the putty?

  • I must say, at the first video, I was very skeptical about what you were doing with the foam. After watching all of the videos in the series, I must say, I am VERY impressed. It is looking absolutley great! After watching all 11 videos, it ate up more then an hour of my time and I can only imagine how long it took you. Great work, can't wait to see it finished!!
