It seems to me he`s skipping bisexuality which would add complexity to his analysis.

@star999nine oh, ok no problem then.

@themaniusedtob u know what, i think maybe i misread your initial statement. cuz the way u word it it sounds like you're mocking these theories (cuz i can't imagine anyone qualifying any social theory as an absolute).
-
@star999nine you dont look down on the soft sciences then try to explain what is the point of your original reply to my original comment. try again.

@themaniusedtob u just quoted wikipedia to contradict me? good use of sources there. in academia, the empirical sciences r hard. a soft(er) science would be something like psychology. and why assume i look down on the soft sciences? my doctoral dissertation is heavily based on evolutionary biology, evolutionary psychology, and evolutionary sociology, all heavily theoretical disciplines. and no, i would never call gender studies a hard science. it's a social science, which is inherently soft.

@star999nine Btw I simply quoted Don to show why I love science (because its not PC bullshit) there is no 'Irony' involved and no I dont think evolutionary psychology is faulty but I do think your interpretation of it sure is, being that to you it isnt worthy of the term 'hard science' I guess to you Gender studies is worth the term? Keep dreaming.

@star999nine First, from wikipedia "Hard science and soft science are colloquial terms often used when comparing fields of academic research or scholarship, with hard meaning perceived as being more scientific, rigorous, or accurate." therefor, it is a hard science but obviously to you nothing that involves theories is. Its fascinating to me that you believe that I am contradicting anything. You dont even know the difference between a colloquial term and an incorrect statement. Try again.

@themaniusedtob first, evolutionary psychology isn't hard science. it's theoretical science. there's a difference. and second, it's fascinating how people find any level of satisfaction in contradicting exceptional men like symons (one of the founders of evolutionary psychology) by simply vomiting a single, ironic statement without providing any real argument of their own. hey, if u can criticize something ironically, it must be faulty, right? (fight irony with irony.)
"women are not interested in that kind of sex very often... atleast not if they are not paid for it" the cold truth.... thats why i love science.

That's an interesting point he makes about how gay porn illuminates male sexuality and views of women. I have never heard it before, but it seems quite relevant.
