Black Sabbath - Sabbra Cadabra, Pt. 1 (Live Cali Jam 1974)

Black Sabbath performing "Sabbra Cadabra" at California Jam in 1974. I've always liked this recording, even though it's not 100% perfect. It has a very raw sound, and the guitars have a unique sound that I haven't heard on any other Sabbath recording. I'd call it "uber-heavy". Anyway, I'm completely rambing now, so enjoy!

here's a tidbit only a person that was at this concert would know - after it was all over, we literally walked down the san bernadino freeway between cars that were parked in all lanes. once we got past the parked cars, we hitched a ride with somebody back to LA.

I've always loved Ozzy's voice here. Btw, I met Ozzy about a year ago when he did a booksigning for his book 'I Am Ozzy' in SF....He was really awesome in person.

For me Metallicas version of this proved where they were as a group a brilliant cover!!! But they have done nothing since PUPPETS!!! Where this band as a true LEGASY!!!

@cornytoad Despite the Metallicas, Megadeths, Slayers and pre-lame hip-hop Anthrax, the 80's had lots of poser-metal. But I agree, early Sabbath, Purple, et al were just plain killer!
