Lufia 2 - Phantom Duel (Last Duel Remix)

I made this about a month ago and submitted it to OCremix, but it seems they're a long way off from actually judging it as the queue is so long, so I figured I'd just upload it here for the time being. Let me see if I can find my original submission description... ah, here we go:

"This song is a mix between the source material (my favorite song in one of my favorite games) a phantom of the opera sound, and a techno vibe. I purposely opted to make it true to the original, differentiating it mainly by adding a bridge which introduces a new melody in addition to some glitchiness, and using that melody as a background to the main one in a subsequent repetition of the original song (in addition to the new instrumentation of course). I think the grand opera organ really goes with the song's original purpose as a final confrontation piece, while the synths I think convey a sense of hope in the midst of the darkness. Going by this, the song plays out with the sinistrals (aka the big bads) confronting the heroes, the heroes attacking feebly in the beginning (signified by the weaker synth), then going all out (the stronger synth). However, the bridge belongs to the sinistrals, with the organ being the only instrument present. When the original song repeats, it begins with only the organ, making it seem all hope is lost; however, the heroes break out with one final attack (both synths playing). The organ slowing down at the end I think gives the impression that the struggle with the sinistrals is finally over, with a final chord signifying their defeat."

Thanks for the support, unfortunately it just got rejected after 4 months of waiting >.>

However, I'm going to try to revamp it at some point, so be on the lookout for the new version. Hopefully it will fare better in the judging process. I'm open to any suggestions btw ;)
