Hugh Herr directs the Biomechatronics group at The MIT Media Lab. His legs were amputated below the knee after a climbing accident when he was 17 years old. He is completely "synthetic" below the knee and a true, living example of the merger of the synthetic and the biological. Thank you for sharing this video.
