READ FIRST:
this is a follow on video to my last one. 'I am looking for a better way'. (i will add it as a video respsonse)
alright, so absolute has been in a 20 acre paddock for about 3 weeks now and he went FERAL! i couldn't catch him, he wouldnt let anyone go near him etc.
So i decided to just leave him be and he will work himself out and it worked. Last Saturday, 06-02-10. Mark, the guy who runs infield offered to ride him for me for the first time and help me de-sensitize him. We went out to the paddock and caught him, brought him and he was just back to him old self (apart from jumping at a few things)
Before mark rode him, we did some de-sensitizing. (as seen at the start of the video with the tarps) i know this thems cruel, scaring the absolute shit out of him but as you see he comes to terms with it and trusts me im not going to hurt him (which was the whole point of it).
And then Mark got on, we had no idea what to expect! but, he was amazing! no bucks, rears, bolting. anything! just his normal self, plus a bit fidgety. he was being ridden in a bitless bridle (a.k.a hackamore) for the first time and responded really well to it :)
i am so happy with how he is at the moment! mark is going to ride him a few more times for me, and we are going to do some for serious de-sensitizing (ill make sure to video it, we weill be using balloons ;) and then i will start riding him again hopefully :) wish me luck!

It's amazingly inspiring that you aren't giving up on him or yourself, or horseback riding.
