I didn't mean an anti-air that takes ten years to come out. I meant a shoto's anti-air that compliments fireballs by coming out almost instantly so that people can't jump at you, even if you're throwing a poke when they begin to jump (e.g. dragon punch, tiger uppercut). I never said she had bad combos or block strings. I said she can do some damage, but she can't get in to do that damage.

Sakura has a GREAT anti-air: Crouching Fierce. Her combo and blockstrings are also amazing. Crouching MK is a great poke with good priority and great combo potential (cancels into tatsu, EX tatsu or any shoryu), and crouching fierce not only stuffs air attacks, but it is used in the light,light,fierce,ex tatsu b&b mixup. She does have her disadvantages though: she takes hits like she's ten years younger than she actually is (ie: a 6 year old) and her execution requires precise timing.

She is low-tier for a good number of reasons. "A bit more effort" is an understatement.

@MikeTheDarkKnight tiers dont have to do with weakness but with priority...(Ryu can answer to almost any attack with a counter) Guile's link attacks have almost as much priority as Gen's and Ken's which is godlike... El Fuerte idk, but I will agree that if used properly Sakura can have lots of priority: she isnt the weakest, your right

@trunksbrief1: Well I say she's underrated. Gen and Dan I understand, but her being at bottom is like saying her abilities are weaker than the likes of chars such as Cammy/El Fuerte/Guile which I don't believe.

Abel is more mid-tier than anything.

Sakura, on the other hand, isn't so good. Once she gets in she can do some damage, but she can't even get close to any character with a relatively decent zoning game. She has no good reversals on wake up and no way at all to escape pressure. Finally, her footsies are terrible. She's a shoto without a fireball or a good anti-air.

that sakura plays just like mine but somewhat better because of his slightly more aggro than mine....still.. he'd pick me apart....his unpredictability skills is great..thats what i try going for all the time too..specially with bottom tier

Sakura isn't low tier, she's a fairly decent character. Just that she isn't top ranking like Sagat, Ryu, Dictator etc.....so it takes a bit more effort to win. Abel on the other hand is risky, you'd have to really know what you're doing. He may have some crazy combos but that isn't so easily done against experienced players.

That Rufus should have definitely cancelled his EX Messiah Kick into his Ultra because it might have finished Sakura for the round. Bad mistake.
