@MrCorvairGuy Sorry to reply to my own post but that should have been a Ford 8N since it was grey/red with a four speed tranny and running boards. Sleep now.

@Foxonian Much like the 8' cultivator and Ford 9N my grandfather farmed with, I can't see these things ever coming back. Compared to a modern diesel tractor, they're horribly inefficient not to mention the time and tending needed to build up steam pressure. John Deere already certifies their equipment to run on up to a 20% biodiesel blend and has been shipping with a 5% blend factory fill since the early 2000's. I believe biofuels are the way forward for agriculture at least.
