Since pioneering the GR-500 guitar synth in 1977, Roland has been dedicated to developing the ultimate electronic guitar. A perpetual and continuous quest for the next-generation guitar led to electric-guitar giant Fender®. Now, collaborating with Fender, Roland proudly introduces a new era of electronic guitar: V-Guitar!

  • why are they acting like this is brand new technology? this thing originally came out in 2007 and was then discontinued because nobody was buying them.

  • But... Will it blend?

  • well, i don't know if it's the first time for Fender doing a robot guitar, but Gibson has done it before so it's the same thing but Fender :/

  • I dig the boss gear that I have, but who is the marketed to? Don't guitarists love having many instruments and collecting pedals? I'm sure Alex Lifeson and the like can take as many instruments as they like on the road. I wish Roland/Boss would take these resources and start going back to analog designs and give guitarists what they want. Shame.

  • This just destroys the passion behind the simplicity yet magic of the guitar ... shame on fender ...

  • I would rather get a flat top Variax and fix a Roland GK3A then connected to a GK switch pedal then to a GR and VG with each direct guitar output each to POD X3Live and the last GT. But then we will compete in complexity with the keyboard players. Ha ha ha. Good for the shop to get more repeat orders for every guitarist.

  • I think I just came..

  • I got all excited, thinking there was a Fender guitar with a synth built in, like the old Casio PGs. But this is just a Variax with a fraction of the functions.

  • ... hmm ... firebird x any one?

  • the tyler variax from line 6 beats this guitar any day of the week

  • This video looks like something from the Amiga demoscene of the 90s.
