  • The song is called "TAO" by Sojiro. He plays traditional Japanese Wind instruments. I haven't been able to find any of his stuff in the States. Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • It's been over 40 years since I saw the Mikasa there, Thanks for this video.

  • @Flatwheels01 Yeah I miss Yokosuka to. When I was stationed there my two boys would play in the fountains at Mikasa park with their Japanese friends. I guess they were 3 and 4 at the time. lol My oldest is 21 now and he still remembers those days. My wife Kaori and I will probably go back someday.

  • @stevegreen65 Thanks! well it all worked out pretty good. Got my visa, gave up my life in Holland and arrived in Yokosuka, Japan last january. Tried to get a job on the base but no luck. Now living in Misato-machi , Saitama with my wife and doggie and earning some cash as teacher and translator in Tokyo. Really miss Yokosuka and made some great new friends there - will be back there soon enough!

  • @Flatwheels01 Good luck in your travels. I hope things work out for you. :)

  • We had out Command photo taken on the Mikasa in the 90's. A very cool memorial/museum.
