@milspecmonkey not to mention surefire lights have been known to be virtually bomb proof.
-
@clap5 surefires, have been known to survive IED explosions........can a fenix light bring you that?
-
@milspecmonkey 165 for my e2dl defender. 200lumens high/ 5 low. never could ask for a more perfect light. it weighs nearly nothing, no joke... surefire or nothing.. i live by that now.

They are the best...and they cost like the best....LOL
I have the 6p led Defender in a LaRue LT 707 inline tac light mount....
I will give them a 10 out of 10.

cool. I seen your Fenix one already. Maybe you should do a Nitecore product review also.

I love the new LX1 !!

I'm not in law enforcement or the military but suddenly I have the desire to order several products from surefire!

200 lumens is probably too much, given the purpose of a weapon mounted light. Lighting up a white wall in a house(never mind a mirror) with 120 can sometimes be on the limit of what your eyes can handle.
Fenix sells lights just as good for half the price.

@clap5 Fenix makes a good products as well, but do not have the same tactical features/functionality.

You could also argue features vs nessessity. I don't need a "sos" feature because I can reproduce it myself. Less features make it more user friendly because I'm not bypassing 7 different modes I don't want to activate in order to get to what I need.

@clap5 Hesistant to bother with the comment as the vast majority of surefire controls are very simplistic, so I don't think the complexity argument is valid.

well if you have $600 kicking around then go for it. I'd rather spend the money on a new pistol. Also...I'm not a "tactical operator" so I just need the more general modes anyways. Like I said...I'm not knocking surefire...I just think there's other, more affordable options. I'm personally a fan of Nitecore products. To each his own.

I want to show alternate opinions such as your own, but I also think others should know the vast majority of surefire lights are nowhere close to costing $600
