For week 51 of our Kansas Sesquicentennial video series, as we ready our homes for Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanza, we thought we'd take a closer look at our Antique and Contemporary Paperweight collection. Something about luminous glass filled with intricate design brings to mind holiday candy, icicles and ornaments.

  • Very nice video, it's nice to see the collections out in the world. I am a paperweight maker, and in fact the red salamander piece at about 4:00 was made by my mother, most likely with me as an assistant. It's wonderful to see the things we work so hard on being loved and appreciated. If you're interested you can look on my profile to find videos of us making the paperweights like the salamander piece.
