Makybe Diva - tribute to a champion

All Australians know that Makybe Diva is our biggest racing Champion since Phar Lap. Winner of the prestiged Melbourne Cup three years in a row she set a record that will remain unbeaten for MANY years to come. Makybe Diva set over ten separate records in her racing career, with her third melbourne cup being the biggest of them all, and the last race before her retirement in 2005. Now she spends her time in the paddock with her first foal by her side. This is a tribute video to the Champion and what's to come.

@MakybeDiva101 I don't see why people just can't respect honour & love all of the great champion race horses Australia has had were pretty lucky to have such great race horses flying the flag for us i'm proud & love everysingle one of them for their deeds on the track so i agree with you i hate people who just can't be proud of her she was legend the queen to Pharlap the queen of the track .

Grrr I hate people who can't just share re divas glory, some one saying why call her a champion when she's lost more than she's won, because she got fucking better as she went on, just because ur sad pathetic lives have amounted to anything doesn't mean u have to put down one of australias top race horses, get a fucking life!

Best horse since Phar Lap is a big call. There have been some pretty good horses to have raced in Australia in the intervening 70-odd years. Not doubting she was a marvel, but she recieved a rating of 129. Kingston Town for example recieved a rating of 137. Not to mention the likes of Tulloch, Manikato, Vain, Black Caviar, So You Think etc. who all have higher ratings. 3 M' Cups is incredible, but she had gift weights. She got 55kg's in 04. Galilee was allotted 67.5kg's for his 2nd attempt in'66

@blackmourning11 Depending on your definition of 'lose' there could be any number of sports where you could lose more than you win and be considered a champion. Golf would be one, just for starters. And how many tennis players win more than 50% of the Grand Slams they contest? It is sad that there are so many Diva-haters out there, who cannot deal with the fact that she did something that had never been done before, and won a race three times that most struggle to win ever once.
