:-) It would be nice to dream, but I live in Brighton, on the South Coast of England. Nearly all of the rail traffic around here is Passenger EMU's. The line to London from Brighton, has more interesting activity North of Gatwick Airport. The busiest place for Train Porn ( as I call it ) is Clapham Junction, which trains from here to London Victoria, have to negotiate. The station at Clapham Junction is dismal. Sounds like the area outside Brussel Midi, as a friend of TrainzDr3ver says.

I have never seen one of these locomotives for real, but I do have an HO model of one from the Trix range, DC 2rail :-) Here in the UK, we don't get many passing NMBS locos :-(

This loco is quite old, I think his age might be around 50, 55 years? And it still is capable of pulling trains without problems, as a matter of fact it might be possible that this loco (201.010 or 5910) is passing trough Berchem on monday for a quick drive to Schaarbeek and afterwards back to Antwerp. In the UK it must be a paradise of class66 locos I think :)

Waarom is praktisch ELKE oude locomotief of oud treinstel mooi en zowat ELKE moderne locomotief of modern treinstel lelijk? Kunnen industrieel ontwerpers het niet meer, mogen ze het niet meer, of willen ze het niet meer?

Onder het motto "aerodynamiek en techniek primeert boven schoonheid" breid de NMBS haar locomotievenpark uit tegenwoordig. De traxx, reeks 18, G2000 zijn voorbeelden van locs die vol met techische snufjes steken maar niet moeders mooiste zijn. Dus ik volg je redenering compleet!
