The events in Kawangware have not only been underlined by the killing 7 taxi drivers but also the apparent return of blatant violence perpetrated by the police in the name of crowd control. And as NTVs Jane Kiyo reports, scenes of police in civilian clothes brutally beating people have taken many by surprise including Internal Security minister George Saitoti.

the only people I see rowdy in this clip are the armed men in uniform and those not in uniform. Look at all those people being beaten, do u see any of them throwing stones? again, most of those being beaten are either people in their stalls caught up in the milee. the buibui clad women were in their work stations. the police behaved in a very animalistic way.

What are the standards of operation of the Kenyan police force GSU and APs MR Saitoti, Kibaki and Raila?

How are they supposed to conduct themselves in a Riot? Please show us their training video and how they are told to react when dealing with rioting individuals?

Whats the standard Baton they are supposed to use? This Jembe hoe is a Killer weapon? Whats the standard Govt issued baton ? For use by all our armed forces MR SAITOTI?
