  • Anyone know where to get one of these in vg-10??

  • @dsbiddle

You are indeed very right about the lottery metaphor. People are paying too much attention to the steel of the knife, not to the design itself. Most killings or cuttings done to persons are actually done by kitchen knives that are dull and retails for about $3.49 in K-Mart. If people reading this look for the data in the Uniform Crime Report you will find that most of those are husbands and boyfriends cutting their "loved ones".

  • Many quality knife companies make blades in AUS-8A. It may not be the "high-end" steel but there's nothing wrong with it. I say this ESPECIALLY in the role of tactical folders. A tactical folder is designed for self-defense. I do not cut ANYTHING with my self-defense blades. I want them razor-sharp for when I need them to serve their purpose. I am more likely to win the lottery than use my knife for combat. AUS-8A is more than suitable for this purpose.

  • its a decent knife but for 60 bucks you could get anything in the CRKT,Boker,Kershaw, or some Cold Steel line that is built better....... .

  • the design is solid though, the g-10 is very nice, but I still thing the CRKT crawford Kasper that McCann used to carry is a better feeling knife........
