Who gets to define the validity of friendships/relationships? Personally i think only those who are experiencing them can pass judgment.

Good points made, but I want to point out that communication isn't the only point to friendships. There's something-- I guess it's unconscious-- that happens when you are around people in person, sharing physical contact with them, having eye contact, etc. As I understand it, it's integral to our mental and general wellbeing.

i never really have an argument when my real friends make fun of the fact that i have online friends. Honestly, i spend at least twice as much time with my online friends, then my 'real' friends. They dont understand, they just think im a nerd. And im fine with that, cus I have met some really amazing people online, and I found love online.
