Everyone starts off with two common spells, self heal and mana missile. These are within the lesser magic skill. To access more spells, a player needs to gain greater magic and then proceed into one of the various schools. It is a long process and this is beta so that is why you don't see much spell diversification yet.

is there only 1 spell animation in Darkfall - All videos shows the same. Or is all just using the same spell? :D
