For all of the people who have been interested in Nina's development. All the specialists were convinced she had autism. She was labeled as developmentally delayed at 18 months when she failed the M-CHAT and met almost none of the "appropriate milestones" expected at 18 months. She qualified for the very small amount of early intervention a few hours per week in my area. She was seen as significantly impaired in three areas, "communication" "cognitive" and "behaviors". We have done no alternative treatments but we did not immunize because we saw it adversely effect Sharlet after her diagnosis. I have used the same play based therapies and love and interaction as I have with Sharlet but did everything I could to protect her immune system as with lots of fruit and veg and I'm still breast feeding. This is her now 1 year on. They say she is still around six months delayed but we don't rally think too much about it. We know she is a real character and is quirky and a little un-conventional so we think she fits in just perfectly :)
Sharlet little sister Nina is so cute & siblings with special needs are bless to have them in there lifes. Because it will change your other kids withourt special needs.

That they are, I can't wait for her next video. I'm waiting to save up for a better webcam on this machine after I get the video card needed to process Hi-Definition ((The Current one I"m staring at 1200X1800 @ 30 frames Per second) which is pretty good quality. Its difficult come from computer to computer because I have my lappy sitting on a chest of drawers...
