We drove for miles on this desert ten lane highway. We tried to take pictures and videos from the bus, but the road is very bumpy (as you can see from other videos). Someone in our group asked our guides if we could make a stop to take a picture. They were quite surprised at the question. I suppose that they couldn´t understand why we would find a highway intresting. They stoped the bus and let us out. As all of us ran out on the road and obviously found it very intressting, they got second thoughts and ordered us back in the bus. We were then told that there will be no more spontaneous deviations like this, from the itinerary.
At the end of the video, there is a moped/mc coming our way. We asked why we couldn´t take som more pictures, and they answered that it was because that moped. We weren´t allowed to take pictures of it.
But we got good pictures! Miles and miles of broad highway and hardly any traffic.

@berndpfe The army is because they are still technically at war with the United States and South Korea.

nevertheless, such is worthless to think of, in such an economical situation in which is NK. I remain on the standpoint that such gigantism is a waste of governmental resources at the cost of the citizens. For what sake nuclear weapons there? For what sake the 3rd biggest army in the world?? For taking over another countries? Surely not because that would be a guaranteed dead end also for NK.

This is the very expression of a government which has failed to evaluate the sense of such. This is pure gigantism, nothing else. A waste of money, work and time and landscape/forestery. For what sake 10 lanes? two cars might really fit into one lane in each direction. Another fail of 'our leading looser', Mr. Kim.
