I originally played like this (though my fingers are a little more parallel in terms of the strings) and then stopped because all the other bass players in high school told me it was retarded. But now I've switched back and it's amazing how much better it feels! Nice to see someone else out there with similar technique.

Great technique Marlowe... it's very similar to the old blues players (Albert Collins etc). Hybrid style. I've never tried it but i'm going to start now after watching how funky you make it sound! Thanks
