what they hell does no one have any respect anymore. I respect you for helping that little guy. Not many people would stop and help out animal but you hear about all these people who are animal rights activists yet none of them would stop and get out of their car to actually help an animal. Props to you!

Pick him up? Dude, beavers chew down trees. They basically have a chainsaw built into their skull. Next time you see a beaver, try picking it up and tell me how it went for you. (Note: You may have a hard time typing with stumps, so you may wish to have a friend still in possession of his fingers type for you.)
