1972 on MGM Records. From the LP 'Great Balls Of Fire' the wonderful Mae West adds a new dimension to the classic song from The Doors. "Where's The Fire, Where's The Fire?, Umm In Your Eyes Big Boy, In Your Eyes". Sensational!

  • Thanks for posting this jewel. She was really extraordinary!

  • I was really expecting this to suck but kind of pleasantly surprised. It's different from the Doors, for sure, but if you don't mind a little camp, it's kind of fun. I like the sort of Marianne Faithfull-esque husky voice.

  • Mae = Strongbad in drag.

  • @Fanjayaforever Considering she was over 75 when she sang this, I call it a wonder!

  • @Fanjayaforever When you consider that she was in her 70s when she recorded it, it is even MORE amazing!

  • She was definitely ahead of her time! Too bad she's not still with us physically, though I know her legacy of movies and wit will endure forever! As with all things "Mae", I really appreciate this video! Thanks!
