Our main aim is "To humanely reduce the population of dogs and cats, both pedigree and mongrel in the U.K by neutering as opposed to the current situation where hundreds of thousands of healthy but unwanted or stray animals are being destroyed simply because there are not enough homes to go around."
The Trust runs two low cost neuter/vaccination clinics in London for animals belonging to people on benefit or those unable to afford private veterinary fees.
The clinics provide low cost treatment for sick and injured animals whose owners do not qualify for help from the major charities but who cannot afford private veterinary fees.
The charity also runs a rescue service for cats through its veterinary clinics for unwanted pets, strays and feral cats.
The Sanctuary in Sussex is home to the charities harder to home cats - mainly older feral cats who live free at the Sanctuary and sleep in the many cat chalets that are located around the Sanctuarys extensive grounds.
New homes are sought for the Trusts rescued cats both domesticated and outdoor homes such as stables and smallholdings are sought for feral cats.
Rescued cats are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to homing and The Trust has a strict non-destruction policy unless animals are suffering with a terminal illness or are hopelessly injured and beyond any veterinary help.
The Charity receives no government funding and relies upon donations to fund rescue work and to support the work of the veterinary clinics. You can help by supporting our work with a donation, adopting or fostering cats or if you live near one of our centres and have some free time enquire about volunteering.
