This Si owner proved he's a true car enthusiast pouring his blood sweat and money into his car, and he's still a Naturally Aspirated Si while your STi is just a tad bit more modded than stock. Bro, get a pen and paper and get ready to learn. "Long block" refers to both the head and bottom end of a motor together, Inline, Horizontal, V, doesn't matter. I've owned both an STi and an Si and I'll assure you their roots are clear. Both are factory upgraded versions of each companies base model car. Civics and Imprezas are both cheap daily drivers, period. For the record I'm fully aware that the base civic is equipped with an R18 and the Si a K20z3. You don't know SHIT

Both the Si, WRX and STi are based off of each companies entry level "economy" cars. The bodies, chassis, and long block are all basically the same. Yes the WRX and STi come with turbo's, cheap decade old units with low tech log manifolds with terrible spool and horrible top end, but turbo's non the less. This does not change the fact that they are based off of an economy car. Until they are they are they're own chassis and body, there is no getting away from this.

Si and a STI are way to different class of cars.. its like comparing a sti to a 2jz supra. si are FWD and non turbo and sti are AWD turbo. Take that turbo out and the sti is pure shit. only thing that keeps that little sti running is its turbo. without it it would be saying VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO
