Leeds is a big city and needs a subway system on a larger scale than this.
-
how about a nationalised bus service and wider roads. it doesnt take a university degree to come up with simple cheap solutions.
trolleybuses were in bradford until the 60's
why are we going backwards?
the ftr doesnt work, why will this?

"New Generation Transport" trollybuses have been around for decades

I'm very much hoping to visit Leeds one day and actually travel on these...
But only if they are overhead wire electric, which will make them as clean / city friendly / environmentally sound as trams.

I can't believe we're being fobbed off with this. It's on too small a scale and changes nothing. Leeds needs an underground, and will eventually have to have one. Why pump money into anything else when you can start on a permanent solution?

Weren't the trolleybus plans cover, the proposed supertram route. I live next to St James Hospital, but it's ashame, the route doesn't make Harehills,Easterly Road,Seacroft(Tescos) and Whinmoor., This was part of the extended East Line.
