  • @jm2trash LOL, that is a good running joke, but I think you mean the old "rhythm method" :) ... which is DEFINITELY NOT Natural Family Planning (NFP) at all...

  • Rev. Father Lavaud, O.P. deciares: "We cannot see an adaptation to nature in something which is, in effect a trick to fustrate nature." In fact, it is the desire for children and their conception, which is truly natural. If one has some difficulty they can temporarily abstain from marital relations as was done for most of church history. NFP is was an outgrowth of 70s hippie modernist culture, the 'couple to couple league' was founded in 1971. Before the 20th century the method was condemned.
