Horicon Marsh Systems advocates who fought to get a two mile setback from the marsh to protect wild life from the impact of industrial wind turbines talk about their experience. The Horicon Marsh is considered to be a wild life refuge of global importance. Turbines along the two mile setback went on line in March of 2008. More are proposed. Each turbine is as tall as a 40 story building and has a blade span wider than a 747. There have been recent reports of massive turbine related bat deaths from barotrauma-- a condition caused by the turbulent air behind the turbine blades which cause fatal trauma to the lungs of bats. Google wind turbine, barotrauma, and bats to read the disturbing findings. They contact the National Audubon society and the Sierra Club to let them know their blind support of wind energy (thanks to huge donations from the wind industry an power companies) is having dire consequences.
