From 1926 Here is Early Country and Western Recording Artist, Ernest V. "Pop" Stoneman singing his own Composition with Harmonica & Guitar, "Sinking of the Titanic", on an Edison Diamond Disc Record. The Phonograph is a rare Edison Model D-25 also known as the Jacobean . The Model D-25 was the only Edison Disc Phonograph which featured a Cabinet in unusual, and attractive "Stump Oak". Not many D-25 were sold, and very few surviving examples of this model are known to exist today in the hands of Collectors.

  • Wonder how many songs were inspired by the Titanic disaster. I have a couple of sides on 'Winner', recorded shortly after the sinking, namely: 'Stand To Your Post' & 'Be British' they have been uploaded on to my channel.

  • Boy, this song is much better than I thought it was going to be! Thanks, for posting it! Marc.

  • I first heard of this song from my mother some years back. She told me she and her friends would sing this at camp back in the 1930s. She tried to remember the lyrics, but she could only recall the chorus.

  • Just awesome! Outstanding. Sound quality, perfect!

  • love these songs and you have a good voice thank you for uploading these
