(sorry for the shaky camera, we weren't supposed to film in the townhall)
On May 17, 2008 Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) Vote organized a historic townhall meeting with the remaining presidential candidates from both parties, in which they would address specifically the concerns and issues of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. More than 2,000 people attended the event which was held at the Bren Center at University of California, Irvine. All three candidates were physically unable to be present at the townhall, but Barack Obama joined by phone and Hillary Clinton joined via satelite. John McCain was unable to speak to those attending as he was in New York filming for "Saturday Night Live."

In this video Senator Hillary Clinton is speaking to those present via satellite. She is at the introduction of her prepared remarks.
Hillary did not interact with the APIA community. It's very likely her message was recorded. Obama spent the longest amount of time talking to and taking live questions.
FYI-Hillary was susposed to meet with the Asian community in Iowa in December, but cancelled at the last minute. She cited a need to be in New Hampshire. Coincidentally, she had other events scheduled in IA right before & after the Asian event. Regardless of where Hillary was, she was not with the Asian community. Hmmm...

Hillary is the best for APIA! She is also the best for the whole country! She knows just the right tone to set when speaking and addresses everyone with respect and dignity. Donate to Hillary & get rid of the debt! even just $5 will help! DON'T SUPPORT OBAMA: flip-flopper and 2-faced! justsaynodeal . com
