The 40-second ad, 'Familiar World', takes place from the perspective of the driver of a Mini, driving down a typical high street, watching everyday life unfold outside the windows. As the journey unfolds, we encounter look-alikes of artists featured on the Magic playlist in everyday guises, Dido's 'White Flag' providing the soundtrack to the slow motion drive.
We drive past Mick Hucknall who's loading sacks into a dustcart, Lionel Ritchie selling flowers on the roadside, then slow down to allow Kylie, dressed as a beautician, cross at the zebra crossing. Each of the 'stars' acknowledges us with a wave, a wink or a friendly smile.
As we move on, we see an old lady chatting to her hairdresser, Will Young, and we carry on down the road, past Ronan Keating who's taking a break from some roadworks, Phil Collins selling the evening paper and Gabrielle collecting glasses from outside the local pub. The final wave comes from traffic warden George Michael, happily giving a ticket to a hapless motorist.
