A mother's song about how her 13-year-old son is driving her crazy. Based on the funny new book "13 Is the New 18 ... and other things my children taught me while I was having a nervous breakdown being their mother." Book out Jan. 27. Excerpts at www.13isthenew18.com

  • Did your son help you with your Youtube account?

  • @prilstrudel he did actually. he filmed and edited the videos. he's a good boy after all!

  • Hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahah

I am rolling out of my chair. My wife is going to end up being your room mate at the mental institution.

  • @hartley8184 thank you so much for the feedback! I'm happy to tell you that was a few years ago - my son just graduated from high school - the one who was driving me nuts - and is going to college. he has a job and turned out to be a very nice boy! There is light at the end of the tunnel but you will go nuts on the way. go buy my book, 13 is the new 18 - it's in paperback now and cheaper than the original hardcover - or maybe just go have a stiff drink!! thanks again

  • @prilstrudel Actually, her book was severely depressing because her son wasn't a "bad kid," she just had a total lack of faith in him. Trust me, I'm 14 and I know kids who really DO have dysfunctional families. I know kids whose parents are divorced and siblings are split up and are being sent to drug rehab after their father started hitting them. The worst thing her son did was NOT sneak a bottle of alcohol into a school dance. She doesn't realize how good a person her son was.

I read the excerpts from your book! My wife and I unfortunately can't have children, so I didn't laugh at your book but more like felt a bit sad. Being family must be a 3D adventure!

  • Hilarious!
