14. Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - I Fought The Law

Live At The Bridgewater Palace Theatre, November 17th, 2002. The band would go on to play four more shows before Strummer's death a month later.

This concert is notable for the airing of several infrequently played songs: Coma Girl, Get Down Moses, 1969 (an Iggy & The Stooges cover), and a somewhat retooled Police & Thieves.

Also, there's nothing I can do about the compression problems with the video. Compression artifacts are inherent to the source, as is the mild high-end audio distortion.

This video does suck, but Joe Strummer did the best version of this song both with the Clash and with the Mescaleros (see another vid on Youtube). One question though: wtf is the violin for? :P
