Lake County Michigan

Lake County in Michigan has hundreds of small inland lakes for boating, fishing, canoeing and relaxing. Lake County also has trout fishing and salmon fishing on the Pere Marquette, Pine and Little Manistee Rivers. Almost half of the land in Lake County is public forest land and there are endless trails for hiking and motor sports. Lake County is also known statewide for excellent upland game like ruffled grouse and woodcock, wild turkey, as well as as for it's trophy whitetail deer. The Pere Marquette River, Pine River and Little Manistee River are also great rivers for canoeing, rafting and kayaking on warm summer days. There are also several festivals and events every year in Lake County. Baldwin, Michigan has Trout-a-rama and the Blessing of the Bikes. Luther has Logging Days and Irons has the Flea Roast and the Ox Market.
