This is my Ham Radio Station located in Chandler Arizona. My Call is N7RUE and I enjoy operating Vintage Tube Hybrid Radios. I have 2 Heathkit Tube Amplifiers ( SB-200 and an FT-221 and a Yaesu FL-2100B that I am currently restoring ! My favorite transmitters are Yaesu FT-101's. Do you have any idea what the difference between the Yaesu FT-221 and the Yaesu FT-221R version were? I saw on Wikpedia the R version had repeater shift, but the FT-221 seems to work on repeaters too, no? Does your FT-221 support repeater use/shift?
