I'll just have to take your word for it. I got rid of the Sunbeam grinder a longgggg time ago. Replaced with a Mazzer.

You may be able to make it finer if you follwo the mods in my modification video. Apart from that there is not much you can do.

What does the sieve prove? How can you have consistency between the two if you've got 2 different grind settings on 2 different grinders.

I agree that it was never going to be completely even because it is 2 different grinders. What it allowed me to do was to seperate the course grinds from the 2. I was able to see that the grinds from the Delonghi were more varied than those from the Sunbeam. The Delonghi had flakes that were about 5 times the size of the smallest course ground it produced. There was a lot of them also, not just 1 or 2. So while the sieve proved nothing, it allowed me to see why the Sunbeam is a better grinder.
