@sunbeams7 Yeah, dude. Merle & Chet used that intro in nearly the same form all the time.

I love the clarity and precision of your playing, and I think your tone is a delight, especially in the lower register.
I wish you would play just a breath slower, to let those bass tones sweeten (the way Blind Blake always used to).

That is some good pickin. Eat your heart out Chet. I know he would have appreciated that. Keep up the good work.

How long have you been playing?

Off and on for about 35 years or so. I regret the "off" parts. And if the resources that we had today, with tabs and the internet, had been around back in the 70s...oh man, I don't even wanna think about it. All the hours spent with a record player, backing the needle up to try and get that little bit right, trying to guess how the guys on the records did stuff. Nowadays kids just have to do a quick google and the internet's overflowing with instruction.

You have great flair, but this song confuses me! starts off as "Alices Restaurant" goes to "Mississippi Flow Rag"...some Dallas Rag, Saw Mr Grossman live last month in Southport (UK) and it does sound like a Medley

I don't know what to say...the version I'm playing is my interpretation of someone else's interpretation of Stefan's tune. I've never heard him play it. The first part of the tune...the part everybody says sounds like Alice's Restaraunt...also sounds like many other tunes. It's a very well-worn guitar cliche. Arlo Guthrie didn't invent it, nor did he invent the chord progression. I'd really be interested to hear Stefan play it.
