No, I think this version is more likable than Barnet's. Of course, Barnet had a great Ellington-ish sounding band, but I never really cared for his horn playing. He used to thup the notes too much.
@chkjns Yes...at second viewing I enjoyed it. As I get older, I seem to be shelving my hard Jazz for Hugo Montenegro and Mancini. Defib comment was too much, Ha Ha.
