They are an elite team of fighters - the SAF commandos, trained to infiltrate enemy territory. But behind their well toned bodies, lies months of training and hard work, both physically and mentally. In this video, Khai Yan talks to commando fighter CPL Dominic Nakamura, to learn about what it takes to be an elite fighter.

  • absoluthreshold hey bro,any idea if colour blindness is allowed? i wanna sign on with cdo and be regular. but i slightly colourblind. really hope u can ans my qns.

  • Hi @0utdoorsurvival , there are many criteria for selection. For colour-blindness, the medical officers would have to look at it case by case, and determine if you are indeed partially colour blind. In the case of commandos, applicants must have no colour blindness. However, there are other vocations which you can apply for in the Army. If you're interested in joining the Army, maybe you could give our friendly recruitment officers a call at 1800-687-2769. :)
