Facebook, Twitter, and Instant Messaging have become natural parts of our everyday life. They also play key roles in many businesses. But is there a downside? Can they dominate too much time?
I've been without Facebook for 5 days and I'm enjoying it. There hasn't been much distraction when it comes to school and I'm not always tempted to look at my ex's page or pictures which is nice. Also I've been able to work on myself and relationships with the people very close to me. I've developed new hobbies and I've been consistently going to the gym. It's really great. :)
About 2 weeks ago I deactivated my Facebook. I still have Twitter but I've never been that much of an IM user. So far I LOVE being disconnected from FB. I have about 830 friends on FB yet I share intimate details of my life to only about seven people. So I've been working on those close relationships. My stress has gone way down and I care less of what others think of me. However, I will get back on in 3 months because FB does has a genuine usefulness I appreciate.
I'm fifteen and I think I should try this because i'm always getting distracted when im trying to do my homework, might try only half an hour a day of facebook, twitter and msn.
I tried it before and i felt like i was having withdrawls!!! lol i really felt like i was missing out.
