@sheepburn Illinois is terrible thats what a team who wins 5 conference games in 2 years is. It has nothing to do with the Mizzou game. They are just terrible. As far as the consistency comment look up total wins over the last 4 or 5 years. You will see Mizzou in the top 8 or 10 in the country. That is consistency. You dont see the pathetic 3 or 4 wins seasons illinois drops off to.

OOooh Illinois lost by 6 points, they're so terrible blah blah blah. Come on, it was a good game and the teams were pretty closely matched that year. Also, Illinois was using their backup QB in this game. Anyway, it's irrelevant. If Mizzou could play consistently throughout the year, they would be a regular contender for the title. Unfortunately they seem to come out explosive and then give up in the games where it really counts. I'm an Illinois fan, but I'd like to see Missouri do well.
