Great to hear the youth of today so pissed at the music life currently throws at them. I hit 1988 bang on 16 and let me tell you are all so right..! I rocked, drunk, fucked and laughed all the way through those late 80's years and continued the fun when the 90's showed up. Enjoy the tunes..!

Dude, I'm 16 and I love stuff like Groove Metal, Grunge, Metalcore, Alternative Metal, Alternative Rock, and pretty much the stuff you listed.
The key is to have an open-mind with everything, besides Rock genres.
