The Arctic: the battleground for WW3?!?

As natural resources are depleted, the Arctic will become a geopolitical hotspot according to new documents released by WikiLeaks that reveal how the world powers (Russia, China and NATO) are preparing to compete - and if necessary, fight - for the valuable oil and gas fields there.

Russian Ambassador to Nato is quoted as saying, "the twenty-first century will see a fight for resources, and Russia should not be defeated in this fight... Nato has sense where the wind comes from. It comes from the North."

Russian explorers have gone so far as to plant Russian flags in the arctic--as directed by Putin himself.

The US is going to great lengths to cosy up to Greenland, amid concerns over Chinese influence.

As usual India has no real interest in all this...we are too busy fighting in the parliment over bills to actually go ahead and fight for resources with the likes of russia and china...LOL ^_^
