The spirit of Ibiza hit the Big Apple in grand fashion on June 26, when a dream team of New York nightlife talent joined forces to present Matinee New York: the first stateside edition of the award-winning European event franchise. Over 4,000 revelers took the ferry from Lower Manhattan to historic Governor's Island for a full-tilt aural and visual experience, with the spectacular New York City skyline looking on. The event surpassed attendance and audience expectations, and was dubbed by the press as "one of the more phenomenal parties of 2010" -- setting the stage for more Matinee events in the city that never sleeps.
